The United Kingdom Inflation Rate MoM and Core Inflation Rate (YoY) and its impact on GBP
The Inflation Rate MoM
According
to trading economics, the Inflation Rate MoM measures the month-over-month
change in the pricing of goods and services. The current inflation rate in the
United Kingdom 2022 is 5.5%, the highest since March 1992. In the coming event,
a higher than expected figure of Inflation Rate MoM triggers a bullish move for
the GBP. On the other hand, a lower-than-expected figure creates a bearish move
for the GBP. The same approach applies to Core Inflation Rate (YoY). This week,
our core focus will be on the impact of the Inflation Rates on the performance
of the GBP.
